Sam Nordquist NYSP Death: Missing man tortured and killed in Ontario County, five arrested

Sam Nordquist NYSP Death and Obituary – Five individuals have been apprehended in relation to the death of Sam Nordquist, a Minnesota resident who authorities allege was subjected to torture and subsequently killed.

On February 13, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Patty’s Lodge in Ontario County. Officers reported discovering a history of abuse that culminated in Nordquist’s demise. It was established that he suffered extensive mistreatment at the hands of several perpetrators. The criminal complaints detailed allegations of both physical and sexual abuse occurring at Patty’s Lodge.

From December 2024 to February 2025, law enforcement indicated that Nordquist experienced violence and torture that ultimately resulted in his death. Investigators revealed that his body was moved in an attempt to hide the crime and was later located in a field in Yates County.

The following individuals have been identified and charged with second-degree murder:

– Precious Arzuaga, 38, of Canandaigua, NY
– Jennifer Quijano, 30, of Geneva, NY
– Kyle Sage, 33, of Rochester, NY
– Patrick Goodwin, 30, of Canandaigua, NY
– Emily Motyka, 19, of Lima, NY

Captain Kelly Swift of NYSP Troop E’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation expressed, “I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Sam’s family and friends. In my two decades of law enforcement experience, this is among the most appalling crimes I have ever encountered.”

Sam Nordquist traveled to New York in September but lost contact with his family by late January. He was reported to be residing at Patty’s Lodge and was last seen earlier this month. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact (585)-398-4100 or email crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
