Rob Anders Kingston PA Death and Obituary – Robert A. “Rob” Anders, a cherished resident of Kingston, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away on the evening of Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 36. His death was the result of injuries sustained in a fall at his home, leaving his family, friends, and the community in deep mourning. Rob’s sudden departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him, but his legacy of love, integrity, and enthusiasm for life will remain in their hearts forever.
Born on July 15, 1988, Rob was the beloved son of Bruce K. Anders and Kathy Crossin Anders. He was the younger sibling to his sister Kara, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond throughout their lives. From childhood through adulthood, Rob and Kara supported each other through all of life’s challenges, embodying the true essence of sibling love. Their close-knit relationship was a testament to the love and joy that defined Rob’s life.
Rob’s early years in Kingston saw him attending Wyoming Valley West High School, where he earned recognition as both a talented athlete and an outstanding student. His skills on the basketball court and golf course earned him respect among peers and coaches, but it was his leadership and sportsmanship that left a lasting impact. In addition to his athletic achievements, Rob excelled academically, laying the foundation for his future success.
After graduating from Wyoming Valley West in 2007, Rob pursued higher education at Villanova University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2011. At Villanova, Rob thrived both academically and socially, gaining a deep love for his alma mater’s basketball team, a passion he shared with his father. The two of them created countless memories together, attending games and traveling across the country to support Villanova’s basketball team.
Following his undergraduate years, Rob moved to San Diego to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He graduated in 2015 with a Juris Doctorate, beginning his career in law. Although he spent two years in California, enjoying the coastal lifestyle of Pacific Beach, Rob eventually returned to his roots in Pennsylvania, where he became a partner at Anders Law in Plains Township, alongside his father. Rob’s legal expertise, commitment to justice, and compassionate nature made him a respected figure in his field. He was involved in several prestigious legal organizations, including the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association and the Lackawanna County Bar Association, where he built strong professional relationships and made a positive impact on his community.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Rob had a passion for sports, particularly golf. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his father, especially at their favorite Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter. Rob also cherished his time playing golf at some of the country’s top courses, including Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California. His love for adventure extended beyond sports, as Rob was an avid traveler who explored various cultures, with his time in Prague being a particularly meaningful experience during his college years.
Family was at the heart of Rob’s world. He had a profound connection with his parents, Bruce and Kathy, and especially with his mother, Kathy, with whom he shared many cherished moments. Rob’s bond with his pet, a Shih Tzu named Otis, was another central part of his life. Otis was not only a pet but also Rob’s loyal companion and friend, offering comfort and companionship through all the highs and lows of his life.
Rob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Julie Anders, his maternal grandparents, Francis and Helen Crossin, and his uncle, Dr. Robert Crossin. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Kathy Anders, his sister, Kara Anders, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide network of friends and colleagues who were fortunate to have known him.
Rob’s funeral will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 9:30 AM from Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Saint Ignatius Loyola Church in Kingston. Burial will take place at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Hanover Township. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, and Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Commission on Economic Opportunity, Weinberg Food Bank, or St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Rob’s untimely passing leaves a deep sense of loss, but his spirit, kindness, and love for life will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
