Dr. Pallav Janak Raval was born on March 31, 1972, to Ranjan and Janak Raval. Growing up in a loving and supportive environment, Pallav developed a strong sense of curiosity and a deep commitment to improving the lives of others. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for learning and an unwavering desire to make the world a better place. His academic journey began at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where he laid the groundwork for his career in science and healthcare. Later, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University, marking the beginning of a distinguished and compassionate career in the field of pharmacy.
Dr. Raval was known for his exceptional knowledge and empathy in his work. His patients and colleagues fondly remember him not only for his expertise but also for his genuine care, his ability to listen, and his personal connection with everyone he encountered. He was a professional who went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of others, making a significant impact in the healthcare community.
In 2009, Pallav experienced the greatest joy of his life with the birth of his twin daughters, Alexis and Avani. From that moment on, his children became the center of his world. As a father, Pallav was deeply devoted, always supporting and encouraging his daughters in their pursuits. His love for them was immeasurable, and he was proud to be known simply as “Dad.” His family was the cornerstone of his life, and his bond with Alexis and Avani was one of the most cherished aspects of his existence.
Beyond his professional and family life, Dr. Raval was also a passionate traveler. He embraced the richness of different cultures and sought to experience the world in its many forms. Whether he was exploring distant countries or enjoying new experiences within the U.S., Pallav had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His warmth, sense of humor, and genuine interest in others allowed him to form lasting friendships around the globe. The stories of his travels, often shared with animated detail and laughter, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A visitation in honor of Dr. Pallav J. Raval will be held on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Pumphrey Funeral Home in Bethesda, MD, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of Pallav’s life will take place later that afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Montgomery Country Club in Laytonsville, MD. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of one’s choice that reflects Pallav’s dedication to children, education, or healthcare.
