Her sudden passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and community. Known for her radiant personality, exceptional creativity, and deep compassion, Maci’s life was a testament to the beauty of living authentically and wholeheartedly.

Born on June 9, 2004, in Mansfield, Maci was raised in Shelby, where she created cherished memories and lifelong friendships. A proud member of Shelby High School’s Class of 2021, she was celebrated not only for her academic achievements but for her vibrant spirit and unmistakable artistic gifts. Maci had an innate ability to turn everyday materials into meaningful works of art — through drawing, painting, sewing, and even cooking. Her creativity was a reflection of how she saw the world: full of potential, color, and opportunity.

Maci was more than just an artist; she was a light to those around her. Her infectious laugh and magnetic sense of humor made her a joy to be with. Whether among close friends or strangers, Maci had the rare gift of making everyone feel seen and valued. Nick Cunningham, and her grandparents Maggie Fetzer, John and Rita West, and Kimberly and Mark Meister. Her great-grandparents, Herbert and Rebecca Coon, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, share in the sorrow of her loss. She was preceded in death by her grandfather William Fetzer and uncle Jeremy Perry, whose memories she always held close to her heart.

A private funeral service was held in accordance with the family’s wishes. The Westmeister family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the community for the overwhelming support and love they have received during this time of grief.
