Apostle Glendora Ford, a woman of deep faith and commitment, was beloved not only as a spiritual guide but also as a pillar of support to those in need. Her unwavering dedication to both God and community served as a model of strength, grace, and leadership for all who knew her. She was the cherished wife of Chief Apostle William T. Together, they founded Kingdom Impact Global Ministries in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and devoted their lives to uplifting others through their shared vision of healing, hope, and spiritual growth.
Born in Abbottsburg, NC, Glendora was the fourth of seven children raised by her mother, the late Bessie Faulkner. Her early life was shaped by the values of faith and service, which were instilled in her from a young age. At just 14 years old, she accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized, marking the beginning of her lifelong spiritual journey. Glendora’s formative years were spent at First Pentecostal FWB Church under the guidance of the late Pastor R.J. Avery, where she learned the principles of servant leadership and the importance of ministry.
From her early involvement in the church, where she served as an usher, choir member, and Sunday school teacher, to her eventual role as co-pastor, Glendora’s calling to serve was evident. She also became the director of Women’s Fellowship, where she worked tirelessly to empower women in her congregation and beyond. Her leadership was grounded in the belief that every woman deserved to be reminded of her worth, and she dedicated much of her ministry to fostering empowerment, healing, and spiritual growth, especially for women facing life’s challenges.
Apostle Glendora was also a lifelong learner and dedicated educator. She attended Cumberland County Public Schools before pursuing studies in dietetics at NC A&T State University. Later, she earned credentials in Food Service and Secretarial Science at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Glendora’s passion for education led her to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Calvary Theological Seminary in Lake Charles, Louisiana, equipping her to minister to others with wisdom and compassion.
In addition to her ministry, Apostle Glendora worked full-time with the Cumberland County School System. This role exemplified her belief in the importance of service to the broader community, demonstrating her commitment to fostering growth and development in all areas of life.
Despite her many responsibilities, Apostle Glendora never lost sight of her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Chief Apostle William T. Ford, Sr., their three adult children—William Jr., LaTia, and Stephon—and her beloved grandson, Camden.
