Tanya, a 39-year-old devoted wife, mother, and community member, was known for her compassion, dedication, and vibrant spirit. According to reports, the fatal collision occurred on Highway 132 near Hass Road in the Township of Admaston/Bromley, just outside of Renfrew, Ontario. Around 9:30 p.m., Tanya’s SUV struck a group of loose horses that had wandered onto the roadway. Despite emergency responders arriving quickly, Tanya was pronounced dead at the scene, along with three of the horses involved in the accident.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, including how the animals came to be on the road. The tragedy has sparked local conversations about rural highway safety and the need for preventative measures to avoid similar incidents in the future.
Tanya Mills was a well-known and respected member of the Arnprior community.
