Dale Armstrong Taylor Death and Obituary – The Greenwood, Arkansas community is mourning the loss of Dale Armstrong Taylor, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 28, 1935, in Brownsville, Arkansas, Dale lived a long and fulfilling life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.
Dale was a proud Army National Guard veteran, having served his country with dedication and integrity. After his service, he built a successful career at Ace Comb Company, where he worked as a product manager until his retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, Dale was respected by his colleagues and cherished the friendships he made throughout his professional life.
Outside of work, Dale’s life revolved around his family, church, and community. He was a devoted member of Union Hope Baptist Church in the Tate community, where he faithfully attended services and participated in church activities. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those around him.
Dale found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits. He was passionate about gardening, yard work, and woodworking, spending many peaceful hours nurturing plants, tending his yard, and crafting wooden pieces with skill and care. Friends and family fondly remember his gentle spirit, kind smile, and the pride he took in everything he did. He was truly a kind-hearted man who treated others with compassion and respect.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elnor Taylor, and his last wife, Norma Taylor; his son, Kerwin Taylor; his parents, Guy and Beulah Taylor; sister, Gail Corley; and great-granddaughter, Brooke Taylor Bishop. Their memories live on through the family he so deeply loved.
Dale’s legacy continues through his son, Craig Taylor (Sheri) of Booneville, Arkansas; stepson, Paul Burke of Michigan; stepdaughter, Debra Simpkins; grandchildren: Tara Halterman (Ryan), Bryan Taylor (Ashlee), Zachary Taylor (Lindsey), Nathan Burke, Anna Burke, and Devan Simpkins; and 11 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Funeral services for Dale Armstrong Taylor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Bryan Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Bryson Taylor, Ryan Bishop, Ryan Halterman, and Devan Simpkins. Their service will honor a man whose life was marked by love, humility, and unwavering kindness.
Though Dale Taylor is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through the family he nurtured, the friendships he formed, and the faith that guided him throughout his remarkable 89 years.
